For the past five years, I have been commissioned to design the May cover of Westword Magazine, contributing to the publication’s seasonal music issue in alignment with AEG’s summer concert marketing initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with AEG’s head of marketing and Westword’s editorial and production teams, I have developed concept-driven cover designs that balance bold visual storytelling with editorial integrity. Each project required strategic art direction, typographic composition, image curation, and high-impact layout design tailored to newsstand visibility and brand alignment.
Deliverables were executed to rigorous print production standards, including prepress preparation, color calibration, bleed and trim management, and press-ready file packaging. The result is a series of visually distinctive, production-optimized covers that support both AEG’s promotional objectives and Westword’s established editorial voice.
